Jason Scot

Nashville recording artist, JASON SCOT wasn’t like most kids growing up. At an early age, his family noticed his ability to sing and carry a proper pitch. As years progressed, he would enjoy singing at his hometown church in little Rock California, a small town north of Los Angeles. Scot simply loved music.

On his 15th Birthday, Jason’s mother bought his first guitar and amplifier from a local pawnshop. He spent countless hours trying to learn the songs from his favorite bands. Scot eventually became an accomplished, self-taught guitarist, and started writing his own songs.

The next chapter would be to form a band called SHADOWPLAY, a project heavily influenced by modern 80’s rock. Nevertheless, his musical interest would change almost overnight, after attending a live performance by Garth Brooks. Amazed by the star’s stage presence and persona, he knew then the direction he wanted to pursue.

Scot’s ambitious nature would lead him to his first country music project. A band that called themselves the BEAUDROWS, asked him to join. With the lineup complete, they changed their name to SMALLTOWN and recorded an album. The album was received well and achieved moderate success. However, due to creative differences, the members of SMALLTOWN went their separate ways.

In 2006, after 15 years of working for the same company, Scot packed up his family and headed to Nashville to pursue his dream of playing Country music. Along the way, he met musicians and industry people that shared his same goals and interests.

He met a few select individuals who would become instrumental in recording the Jason Scot album entitled, DON’T GO. It was produced by Cliff Downs, and the album’s cover, created by Glenn Sweitzer. According to Scot, the most emotional track recorded was, “ME AND MY BROTHERS”.

It was written by Cliff Downs, Seven Williams of Whiskey Falls, and Phil Stacey of American Idol. “It’s more than a song”, Scot always said. It brings to light the great admiration for the men and women who serve our country. It was clear that BROTHERS would proudly be on the album’s new release.

Jason Scot returned to Los Angeles California where he lives with his family. Scot still performs many shows ever year. His passion for Country music is stronger than ever.

Kiran Kairab

SINGER-SONGWRITER KIRAN KAIRAB PARTNER WITH FILM DIRECTOR GORDON COWIE TO PRODUCE UPCOMING MUSIC VIDEOS

Kairab was attracted to Cowie’s innovative storytelling and modern filmmaking techniques and approached him about the collaboration. The two have been storyboarding and developing the concept for the thematic productions since early January.
Washington DC-based Indie-pop singer, Kiran Kairab, has partnered with highly versatile film and video producer Gordon Cowie to shoot mini-movie based videos for her songs “Resistance” and “Shattered” in late February and early March using the backdrop of Central Los Angeles.

The videos are expected to be released by late March. For more information, contact Kiran at kkairab@gmail.com.

An endless passion for music, for discovery, for people, for life.

Kiran Kairab is a singer/songwriter in the Washington, DC metro area who hails from New Jersey. She has spent most of her adult life in the DC/Northern Virginia area working in technology and pursuing her passion in music when she is able.

She is a mother to two children and two ornery small dogs. She is recently divorced and returning to some of the things she has missed for many years in her life, particularly music.

Born to Indian parents who immigrated to the United States in the early 1970s, Kiran’s identity as a child was often that of an outsider looking in. Whether she was living amongst her peers in the United States or whether she was visiting family in India, she always felt like she didn’t quite belong in these situations.

Perhaps it was this feeling of being on the outside looking in that gave Kairab solace in words. Whether it was in devouring a large number of books she would speed-read her way through or whether it was in writing poetry and creative stories, her love of communicating through the written word helped her through a largely lonely and troubled childhood.

In 2001, Kairab endured a heartache that pushed her to learn guitar and in many ways, the rest was history. It was inevitable that her life of writing would converge with her love of music and she began writing songs passionately and fervently.

Some were good. Some were not.

The point was, she did love to write and using her guitar skills and singing ability, she began crafting moody, lyrical songs, most dealing with the complexities of relationships.

Kiran is available for booking and in addition to her originals, can do some mean covers that are certain to please a crowd.

The Indian-American singer who brings new meaning to the term "indie-pop" based out of the Washington DC area. Singer-Songwriter combines rich harmonies and guitar-driven instrumentals with rich melodic lyrics.

Chloe Watkinson

promo packshot
Artist: Chloe Watkinson
Title: This Is Our Time
Label: Aporia Records
Genre: Rock
CANCON

Music has always been as much a part of Chloe as her red hair. Blessed with a voice that can be soft and sweet, or full of power and rasp, she transcends genres with ease.
With a solid music education and a rich performance history (including at Preservation Hall and leading a brass band in New Orleans, and playing regional clubs and festivals in Canada and the US) Chloe launched her solo career in 2018, performing at Toronto venues such as Roy Thomson Hall for the Women's Blues Revue, Yonge-Dundas Square, and two US/Canadian tours featuring shows at Toronto's Opera House, Thorold's Canal Bank Shuffle Festival, and dates in New York, Vermont and Quebec. Her current single "Stonewalling" (Aporia Records) is spinning on 200+ radio stations worldwide.

Her singles are easily listenable, but she alludes to something deeper. Cosmology, astronomy, biology, and cultural diversity find their way into her lyrics. "Crystal Pistol" (Aporia Records) suggests that she has an inner activist; while "A Universe" (produced by Grammy-winning legend George Massenburg) shows a glimpse of a vulnerable lover.

Informed by her experience, including singing alongside notable artists such as jazz icon Jill Barber, Canadian rock legend Max Webster's Terry Watkinson (her dad), and songwriter extraordinaire Lily Frost, Chloe brings her music to life on stage through bold and unapologetic perfor- mances, a true extension of her heart, soul, and spirit.
